The buss then takes you on to Szentendre, where you basically walk around a little town. The final leg of the trip is on a public boat back to Budapest. Our group was around 25 - as advertised but the tour was conducted in both English and Italian, so we lingered 2x as long everywhere we went.”

Despite being a six hour return trip the onboard audio is for a different trip, the onboard cafe/bar did not open so there is no chance of a hot drink nor water, there is no information about the toilets nor onboard safety, and the joyless crew barely speak, so do not provide any information about the journey nor the destination.”

“The design of the trip was great However our guide was terrible. He was supposed to do his description in Spanish French and English but he never got the description timed right. He would start in Spanish see something say oh yes in English then continue in Spanish never describing things in French or English. He did not seem to care either he just faced front and spent the majority of the time chatting with the driver. “Great private tour with Richard. The weather was perfect and Szentendre is a cute village town with an interesting history. There are some nice shops to look at too. Visegrad Castle has incredible views atop the castle and, again, the history is interesting. Our guide dropped us off at the National Memorial District, that saved us a hike up in the middle of the day. Richard also recommended a great place to have lunch at Ramazuri Cafe, which was fabulous.”

“We loved every part of this activity day. Our guide Attila was very helpful and kept us well informed about our day, the route, safety and he clearly loved hiking and the nature all around us. We hardly saw anyone else all day. The views were terrific and we felt we were seeing places that fewer tourists get to see while not being far from Budapest. I would advise anyone with reasonable fitness to go on this hiking tour. You will not regret it, as it was the highlight of our Holiday. Attila also took some great photos.”

“The tour guide was excellent. She was very friendly & informative. Szentendre is a beautiful village, very pretty to look at. We went to the marzipan museum whilst there & it was pretty amazing. All of the shops located there are really unusual & it was a great experience to get to see it. It was very quiet due to the time of year that it is & the weather wasn't great. I'd say it would be even better in the summer time.”
